Slingback Vehicle
Slingbacks as they are called allow quick response times and are usually used where the requirement is to tow small cars or ldv's.
Towing involves attaching a hook and chain to the axle of the vehicle, and then winching until the front of the vehicle is raised onto rubber slings so it can be towed safely.
A very effective and popular towing vehicle that is really only limited by the size of the vehicles it can transport.
Wheel Lift Vehicle
Wheel Lift Vehicles provide a very quick and clean method of hooking up larger cars, ldvs and even heavier vehicles.
Utilising a metal arm that slides around the front two wheels of the vehicle. The vehicle is then secured and raised off the ground ready to be towed. Hence the name "Wheel lift"
Some vehicles though can't be towed by this type of truck because the rear bumper will rub on the ground.

Rollback Truck
Rollback and Flatbeds carry the vehicle on the bed of the truck.
The back or bed is lowered and a hoist or winch system will slowly pull the vehicle onto the bed of the truck, once all four wheels of the vehicle are on the tow truck, the bed is levelled out and the vehicle secured ready for transport.
Ideal for Cars/Large LDV's for short and long distance towing.
